A life-changing opportunity
Four Indigenous Awajún and Wampis students from the Peruvian Amazon have successfully entered university programs in Nursing, Psychology, Education, and Medical Technology.
They have overcome enormous social and economic barriers. Today, they only need basic tools — laptops and academic equipment — to continue their studies.
Immediate impact
In Yutupis, a remote Amazonian community, 20 children are about to start the school year without notebooks, backpacks, uniforms, or essential materials.
For many of us, these are simple supplies. For them, they represent opportunity and dignity.
Over 20 years of commitment
CIANAH (Indigenous Center for the Support of Abandoned and Orphaned Children) was founded by Awajún leader José Yaun Petsa.
For more than two decades, CIANAH has supported Indigenous children and youth with education, housing, nutrition, and healthcare — while preserving their cultural identity.
